School software for Nigerian private schools
Run the whole school term from one phone.
Termlo brings pupil records, fee collection, attendance, lesson plans and report cards into one mobile-first workspace built around the three-term session. AI writes the first draft. Your teachers decide what goes out.

Draft for reviewBlessing has kept a very strong level of work, and she is strongest in Mathematics. Attendance has been excellent. Next term, she can stretch herself in Basic Science.
Sample Data
Built on the school term
Fees, attendance, scores and report cards all follow the First, Second and Third Term rhythm, in naira and with class arms like 4A and 4B.
Teacher approval on every AI draft
Lesson plans and report comments arrive as editable drafts. Nothing reaches a parent or a report card until a teacher approves it.
Designed for phones and weak data
Installable on Android, light on bandwidth, with attendance and score entry designed to keep working offline and sync later.
Fee records you can trust
Payments are append-only. Corrections are reversals, and every change shows who made it and when.
The problem
Low-fee private schools run on exercise books, Excel and WhatsApp.
That works until the term gets busy. Then teacher time, fee income and parent trust all leak through the gaps between tools.
Today in many schools
Forty report comments, written by hand
A class teacher spends evenings across a weekend writing near-identical sentences for each pupil.
Fees tracked in a notebook and a spreadsheet
The bursar chases defaulters one phone call at a time and the proprietor sees cash flow only when asking.
The same parent questions, every week
What is the balance? When does term resume? Front-desk staff and teachers answer from memory or scroll WhatsApp groups.
No single view of the school
Attendance, results and collections live in different places, so problems surface late.
With Termlo
Drafts in minutes, approved by the teacher
Comments are drafted from each pupil's scores, trend and attendance, then reviewed one by one.
One ledger per pupil
Fee items by class and term, part-payments, receipts and a debtors list with one-tap reminders.
Answers come from the records
Balances, dates and results are read from the database, not guessed.
One dashboard for the proprietor
Fees expected, collected and outstanding, weekly attendance and report-card progress together.
Features
Everything a school does in a term, in one workflow.
Each feature hands its data to the next, so scores, attendance and fees reach the report card and dashboard without being typed twice.
Pupil records with spreadsheet import
Add pupils with guardian details or upload your existing Excel or CSV list. Each row is checked, valid rows import, and you get a report on the rest.
No retyping hundreds of names to get started.
Feeds the fee ledger, registers and report cards.
Fees, part-payments and receipts
Set fee items by class and term, record cash or transfers, and see each pupil's balance update immediately. Corrections are reversals, never deletions.
A ledger the proprietor and bursar can both rely on.
Feeds the debtors list and owner dashboard.
Attendance in a few taps
The register opens with everyone present. The teacher taps the absentees. Designed to work offline and sync when the connection returns.
Seconds, not minutes, out of lesson time.
Feeds report cards and at-risk pupil lists.
Lesson planner
Pick class, subject, topic and duration. Termlo drafts objectives, activities with timings, a board summary, a short quiz and homework, grounded in curriculum material where available.
A reviewable plan in minutes, edited to your classroom.
Saved plans are searchable by class, subject and term.
Report cards with approved comments
Scores, grades and class positions are computed from your grading scale. Comments are drafted from results, trend and attendance, then approved one pupil at a time.
Cuts term-end writing without losing the teacher's voice.
Publishing is blocked until every required item is complete.
Owner dashboard
Fees expected, collected and outstanding, top debtors, weekly attendance and report-card progress per class on a single mobile screen.
Know where the term stands without asking around.
Reads from fees, attendance and report cards.
Parent assistant on WhatsApp
Next phaseParents ask about fees, term dates or results. The assistant verifies the registered guardian first, answers from school records, and hands anything else to staff.
Fewer repeat questions for the front desk.
Follows the pilot term, alongside online fee payment.
See them working together
The interactive workspace below runs on sample data so you can try each flow.
How it works
Follow the term from first register to last report card.
Step 1 · Before Week 1
Set up the session
Create the academic session and its three terms, define classes and arms, assign teachers to subjects, import pupils and set fees.
Output: a school that matches how you already run.
Step 2 · Weeks 1 to 11
Run the term
Teachers take attendance and enter scores on their phones. The bursar records payments. Everything is scoped to roles, so teachers see only their classes.
Output: live records for fees, attendance and scores.
Step 3 · Weeks 1 to 12
Draft with AI, review as a teacher
Generate lesson plans and per-pupil report comments from real data. Each draft is editable and needs explicit approval.
Output: approved plans and comments.
Step 4 · Week 13
Publish and follow up
Compile branded report cards, export PDFs for print, send fee reminders and review the dashboard for next term.
Output: locked report cards and a clear fee position.
Interactive product demo
Try a school term in your browser.
Record a payment, take the register, draft a lesson plan, approve a report comment. The numbers are fictional, and the controls behave the way the product is designed to.

Who it's for
Four people run a school. Termlo gives each of them the right screen.
Proprietors and school owners
- The problem
- You pay the bills and the teachers but cannot easily see collections, attendance or results.
- With Termlo
- Open the dashboard on your phone for fees expected, collected and outstanding, top debtors and report-card progress.
- The benefit
- Fewer surprises at the end of term.
Head teachers and administrators
- The problem
- Records sit in different books, and report season means chasing teachers for scores and comments.
- With Termlo
- Set up sessions, classes and subjects, assign teachers, and see exactly which report cards are blocked and why.
- The benefit
- Report cards out on time, with an audit trail.
Class and subject teachers
- The problem
- Lesson plans and individual comments take evenings, and most of your work happens on a phone.
- With Termlo
- Draft a plan or a class of comments, edit them, approve, and enter scores in a spreadsheet-style grid.
- The benefit
- More time for teaching, with your own judgement on every word.
Bursars and front-desk staff
- The problem
- Fee tracking is manual, and you answer the same balance questions all day.
- With Termlo
- Record payments, issue receipts, filter debtors by class and amount, and send reminders from one list.
- The benefit
- A clean ledger and fewer repeated calls.
Technology
How We Use Amazon Web Services
Termlo's pupil, fee and score records need strict separation between schools, while its AI drafts need curriculum context and a teacher's sign-off. The platform is designed as a serverless AWS architecture so each school's data stays scoped to that school, batch jobs like a full class of report comments run without slowing the app, and AI output passes through guardrails and human approval before anyone sees it.
- 1
Data Collection
Amazon API Gateway
Receives authenticated requests from the installable web app and the parent assistant, and routes them to the right function.
- 2
Secure Storage
Amazon DynamoDB
Holds tenant-scoped records: pupils, fee ledger, attendance, scores and audit logs, each keyed by school.
- 3
Processing
AWS Lambda
Runs the business logic: balances, grades, class positions, imports and PDF compilation, with queues for batch work.
- 4
AI Intelligence
Amazon Bedrock
Drafts lesson plans, report comments and parent replies from retrieved curriculum and the pupil data it is given.
- 5
Application Experience
Amazon CloudFront
Delivers the lightweight, installable web app to phones, with teacher review and approval before anything is published.
Services in the architecture
- Amazon Cognito: Handles sign-in for staff and carries school and role claims in each token, so every request is scoped to one school.
- Amazon API Gateway: Fronts the serverless backend and rejects unauthenticated or over-limit requests before they reach any function.
- AWS Lambda: Runs the backend: fee balances, grade and position calculations, spreadsheet imports and the single service that calls the AI models.
- Amazon DynamoDB: Stores school-scoped pupil, fee, attendance, score and audit records with every query keyed by school.
- Amazon S3: Stores spreadsheet imports, generated report-card and receipt PDFs, school logos and curriculum documents.
- Amazon Bedrock: Generates lesson plan drafts, report-card comment drafts and parent replies, with a spend limit per school.
- Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases: Grounds lesson plans in curriculum documents and shows which source material was used.
- Amazon Bedrock Guardrails: Filters unsafe or off-topic output on every teacher-facing and parent-facing draft.
- AWS End User Messaging: Delivers fee reminders and the parent assistant over WhatsApp and SMS.
- Amazon Simple Email Service: Sends receipts, staff invitations and notices by email.
- Amazon SQS: Queues batch jobs such as drafting comments for a whole class, so a slow job never blocks the app.
- AWS Step Functions: Coordinates multi-step jobs such as compiling a class's report cards into one PDF.
- Amazon EventBridge: Triggers scheduled work such as fee reminder runs and end-of-term tasks.
- Amazon CloudFront: Serves the installable web app and static assets quickly on mobile connections.
- Amazon CloudWatch: Collects logs, error alerts, and AI cost and latency metrics.
- AWS KMS and AWS Secrets Manager: Encrypt data at rest and keep API keys and credentials out of code.
- AWS WAF: Filters malicious traffic and enforces rate limits in front of the API.
This is the architecture the platform is built around. Using a service does not by itself make Termlo compliant with any regulation or standard, and data location and retention terms are agreed with each school.
